I felt it the night before the dumpster arrived. That sinking feeling that everyone will be standing around asking “what can I do next?” My eyes opened at 4Am, and I began to write out every detail and the order. You don’t want to put bulky items at the bottom of a dumpster. Flat first, then bulky on top. Each items was in an order and everyone knew what was next.
To be honest, I was amazed it went so well. My son and daughter-in-law came to help. My son is a monster and did 90% of everything—ripping out drywall, moving appliances to the garage for storage. The other items the three of us took on. Started at 9 and finished just before 2PM. Very satisfying. I believe the Palmer House wood floors were happy to see the light of day again.
